On 11th July 2026, the Trinity College Kandy Old Boys' Association – Colombo Branch successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.
The AGM brought together members of the Colombo Branch to reflect on another productive year of service to Trinity College Kandy, review the Association's progress, and chart the course for the year ahead. The meeting also served as the official platform for the appointment of the Office Bearers who will lead the Association during the 2026/2027 term.
Following the proceedings, the membership unanimously reappointed the following Office Bearers:
- President: Mr. Chandrasekaran Muthiah
- Secretary: Mr. Ronnie Gunasinghe
- Treasurer: Mr. Sanjeeva Weerakkody
Their reappointment reflects the confidence placed in their leadership and their continued commitment to strengthening the Colombo Branch while supporting the growth and traditions of Trinity College Kandy.
A particularly memorable highlight of this year's AGM was the presence of the Association's Patron, Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara, who addressed the gathering with a heartfelt message. As this marked the final AGM he would attend in his capacity as Principal and Patron, his address carried special significance.
Rev. Fr. Araliya expressed his sincere appreciation for the unwavering dedication of the Colombo Branch and acknowledged the Association's outstanding contributions towards the development and welfare of Trinity College Kandy. Reflecting on his tenure, he shared that it had been a privilege to work alongside the Colombo Branch and thanked its members for their steadfast support, generosity, and commitment to the Trinitian spirit.
The evening concluded on a note of gratitude and optimism, with members reaffirming their commitment to serving the College and its community. As the reappointed leadership begins another term, the Trinity College Kandy OBA – Colombo Branch looks forward to building on its strong foundation and continuing to make a meaningful impact in support of Trinity College Kandy and future generations of Trinitians.
